Virginia lawmakers want change after USPS delays lead to cancer tests being thrown out

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia lawmakers are demanding change after USPS mail delays caused hundreds of veterans’ cancer tests to be thrown out. The Richmond Veterans Administration Medical Center recently disclosed to officials that hundreds of colon cancer test samples weren’t received until well after the 15-day validity window. Some of the tests date back to mid-2023.
