No trespassing at Virginia churches or schools at night
Teenagers in the Commonwealth have at times hung out on school or church property at night smoking, drinking, or getting high. Code of Virginia Law 18.2-128 reveals it is against the law to trespass at a school or church after dark without permission.
Even if you are a church member or student the law prevents you from hanging out at a place of education or house of worship. It is unlawful. (per NewsBreak Margaret Minnnick).

Any person who, without the consent of some person authorized to give such consent, goes or enters upon, in the nighttime, the premises or property of any church or upon any school property for any purpose other than to attend a meeting or service held or conducted in such church or school property, shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor and a fine of up to $500.
The best rule of thumb is not to enter any property without permission and respect other buildings as you would have your home respected.
