Toby Keith loses battle with cancer
Virginia Country Music fans there is sad news today. Music Legend Toby Keith has died from cancer at age 62 per ET online. The singer announced in 2022 that he had been fighting stomach cancer for 6 months since the previous fall.
WRIC broke the news to fans in the Commonwealth recalling that in June of 2023, Keith said he had been getting treatment and that things looked good.
News of Keith’s death was announced on his website and social media accounts, stating he passed away “peacefully” on Monday night while surrounded by family.”He fought his fight with grace and courage,” the statement reads. “Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”

The New York Times posted that Toby Keith said he was relying on his Christian faith to get him through his ordeal with cancer. Condolences to his family and all the fans who loved him.
