Virginia State Senate passes 3 controversial gun bills, including ban on ‘assault’ weapons

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) – The Virginia State Senate recently passed three bills that could bring about some big changes for gun owners in the Commonwealth. The right to bear arms versus the need to stop gun crimes and mass shootings have been a long-standing, controversial debate in Virginia as well as the nation at large.
