Tune in With Me, Bill and Toony might be casualties of MeTV Toons

Will Bill and Toony be put out to pasture?

MeTV Toons premiered on June 25 and is a hit in Virginia, with five affiliate networks: Roanoke, Richmond, Norfolk/Hampton/Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, and Harrisonburg. What does this success mean for Bill and Toony?

What is their purpose when everything they air can be viewed on the sister station? Is Tune in With Me still viable when every animated short they show and so much more is now on MeTV Toons 24/7? Cartoon fans will now have to choose which MeTV network to watch from 7 to 8 a.m., so wouldn’t this be a conflict of interest?

The weekday lineup includes Captain Planet and the Planeteers, airing at 7:00 a.m., followed by Beetlejuice at 7:30. Neither of these cartoons is very popular, so for right now, at least, Bill and Toony seem safe right where they are.
