Kaine, Warner announce $3.5M in federal funds to expand behavioral health services in VA

Va. (WSET) – On September 20, U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine announced more than $3.5 million in federal funding to support behavioral health throughout Virginia. The funding – $3,517,754 to be exact – will go toward expanding mental health and substance use disorder services at community health centers. These centers are often the main source of care and treatment for people who are uninsured, underinsured or enrolled in Medicaid.
