The Blue Ridge Parkway, dubbed “America’s Favorite Drive,” has been the most visited unit of the National Park System in all but four years since 1946. Nearly 200 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway reopened Friday morning. The scenic route through the mountains of Virginia and North Carolina was closed following Hurricane Helene.
