Man taken aback after restaurant ‘suggests’ he pay 72 percent tips

In the US, most diners are expected to leave a tip for the services they get to have at a dining place. However, in recent times, many businesses have asked customers to pay more than what they expect it to be. One customer, u/Wonderful_Wade, who dined at a Chili’s restaurant in Virginia, was taken aback when after realizing he was actually asked to pay 72.6 percent instead of the regular 20 percent. He later took to Reddit and uploaded a picture of the screen on which the business asked him to pay $32 for his $19 check. “I appreciate the work servers do, but this is a bit much for a table of one,” he wrote in the caption.
