White supremacist group signs seen in county in Virginia

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after several signs affiliated with a white supremacist group were found in the area in Virginia.

The signs contain imagery and messaging that is associated with Patriot Front — a group classified as a white nationalist organization by the Anti-Defamation League, and that has ties to the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville.

According to the sheriff’s office, they are working with other agencies at this time to remove the signs, as they consider this to be an act of vandalism. The sheriff’s office also said they are currently working to find suspects.

The signs appear to be homemade and have the phrase “defend American labor” written on them alongside a URL to the Patriot Front website.

This sighting comes after Patriot Front stickers were put up in Henrico County in November of this year and two members of the organization were accused of vandalizing the Arthur Ashe mural in Richmond back in 2021.
