A Rainier city councilor has resigned amid accusations he lied about his military service.
Rainier City Council President Michael Kreger — who is one of three mayoral candidates running in the Nov. 3 election — has been accused of misrepresenting details about his service in the U.S. Navy and has not clarified whether his discharge papers are inaccurate or if he did not actually receive the distinctions.
