Washington’s beloved Lights of Christmas celebrates 30 years with a new walking experience for 2026

A beloved Pacific Northwest holiday tradition is celebrating a major milestone in 2026. Lights of Christmas, located about an hour north of Seattle in Stanwood, is marking its 30th anniversary—and this year, visitors will have a whole new way to experience the magic. The holiday event is debuting a new walk-through format filled with festive activities, seasonal treats, and family-friendly entertainment.

Taking place on select dates from November 27 through December 28, the annual Christmas celebration is introducing a new format that invites guests to step out of their cars and explore the holiday wonderland on foot. The Lights of Christmas displays over one million lights each year and this year is no exception.

The new walking experience offers plenty to see and do, including a Christmas market, the talking Christmas tree Bruce-the-Spruce, and Mrs. Claus’s Bake Shop, where guests can decorate cookies with Merry Little Baker. Visitors can also meet holiday favorites Frosty, Rudolph, and Sprinkles the donut, while Santa will be available through December 23 for visits and professional or self-service photos…
