First Alert Weather Day: Scattered thunderstorms erupt west of Cascades Saturday afternoon/evening

August started hot, but now it’s turned much cooler and cloudier this week. We’ve got a cooler-than-normal weather pattern for the next week or so. But just the right meteorological setup Saturday means we could have a rare outbreak of thunderstorms west of the Cascades. For that reason we’re calling Saturday AFTERNOON & EVENING (not morning/midday) a “First Alert Weather Day”.
