Residents in Washington state are facing a murky future after home insurance companies dropped homeowners en masse due to uncontrollable risks of wildfires. Local NBC affiliate KING 5 reported that state records showed “the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner has received more wildfire-related policy complaints of people being dropped in the first half of 2024 than the last two years combined.”
