Cool, Wet Weather to Linger Across the Pacific Northwest, Western Washington

Showers and cool conditions will continue to affect the Pacific Northwest through Thursday, with some relief expected on Friday. The National Weather Service reports that the storm system currently affecting the region will shift eastward overnight, but scattered showers will persist, especially over the Olympic Peninsula and North Cascades, where 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible. Snowfall is also expected at higher elevations, with a few inches accumulating across the Cascades. Friday will bring a brief break in the weather, though temperatures will remain chilly, with snow levels dropping to 2500 feet. Expect more unsettled conditions to return over the weekend as another system moves in.
