Winter storm warning issued for Cascades as heavy snow returns to mountain passes

WASHINGTON STATE – Where’d the snow go? Heavy snow is returning to the mountain passes, and it’s expected to stick around through the weekend. After several rounds of winter white arrived early for the mountains this year, many of the ski resorts were able to open up and get the lifts running in time for Thanksgiving weekend. We’ve gone dry and quiet ever since though, and most of the mountainous terrain has been completely flake-free since the end of November.
