Wintry mix will bring snow for some valleys while others see rain

It is a chilly start to our Tuesday across the Inland Northwest with slick spots through residential areas and roads that are not well traveled. Although we are waking up to dry conditions and cloudy skies, another system is on the move. Timing and temperatures will be a factor in this system with valleys in central Washington expecting to pick up a few inches of snow while the lower Columbia Basin and Palouse will see mostly rain. Freezing rain is expected across parts of the Cascades and Waterville Plateau this evening and then shift to parts of northern Washington overnight.
