The 4 News Now Weather Team has declared Thursday a Weather Alert Day. Parts of the Inland Northwest will see heavy snow tonight that will make for some difficult travel in the morning. Other parts of the region will experience high winds starting Thursday morning that could cause tree damage and power outages. Some areas will see a little of both.
What We’re Tracking
- Snow tonight across Northeastern Washington, 4-6″ with pockets over 8″ in Okanogan County
- Mountain passes will see 12″ to 24″ from this storm
- Spokane and Coeur d’Alene won’t see much snow, but higher benches around the local area will see 1-4″
- Snow will change to rain in the early morning before a strong cold front moves through
- Wind Advisory across much of North Central Idaho and Eastern Washington for gusts up to 50 mph
- Recent rain could make trees more vulnerable to the wind
- Rain continues for much of the day
