EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – It’s a mild start to our Saturday, with light winds ongoing. They’ll gradually be picking up throughout the day. Sustained winds will range from 10 to 20 mph, with occasional gusts up to 35 mph. The windy conditions will promote atmospheric mixing, allowing temperatures to climb nearly 25 to 30 degrees above average, into the mid to upper 80s.
With that, our daily high temperature records for Eau Claire and La Crosse will be in jeopardy. Eau Claire’s forecast high is 87°F, with the record being 88°F (1928). As of right now, La Crosse looks to tie their record of 86°F (1928). Expect sunny skies for any outdoor activities. We’ll remain nearly 20 degrees above average overnight as temperatures drop into the upper 50s to low 60s under a clear sky.
