Local physician network hopes to buy western Wisconsin hospitals, clinics to prevent closures

A physician association in western Wisconsin hopes to purchase a network of hospitals and clinics set to close starting in March. OakLeaf Medical Network, which currently operates 26 clinics across 15 counties, announced on Thursday that it hopes to start negotiations with Hospital Sisters Health System and Prevea Health to purchase their facilities in western Wisconsin.
