According to the DNR the Wisconsin Fish and Wildlife account is approaching a $16M deficit by 2026

RHINELANDER, Wis. (WJFW)- The Wisconsin DNR says the state’s fish and wildlife account is approaching a deficit. This is due to a number of different reasons. The account is approaching a $16 million deficit by the year 2026, this funds 20% of the department workforce which is about 500 positions.
