(WJFW)- Many law enforcement departments throughout the country are facing staffing shortages. The same impact is happening to departments throughout the Northwoods. Since 2008 the Wisconsin Department of Justice has been tracking the number of law enforcement officers throughout the state. In 2022 the record was broken for the lowest statewide total since the tracking began.
