Driving without a license: Milwaukee lawmaker asks AG for guidance

MILWAUKEE – A 12 News investigation from February revealed a flaw in state law that allows drivers caught without a license multiple times to get tickets instead of charges. After another story in May, Rep. LaKeshia Myers, D-Milwaukee, wrote a letter to Milwaukee County Chief Judge Carl Ashley, Milwaukee Municipal Presiding Judge Phil Chavez and County District Attorney John Chisholm requesting they review the policies and penalties for drivers caught without a license.
