A few years ago, Wisconsin’s own Charlie Berens and a handful of fellow social media stars made a “Husbands of Target” video — and it went viral, racking up more than 4.4 million views on YouTube.
It was a skit about husbands who formed a group in the store’s parking lot while waiting — and waiting and waiting — for their shopping wives to return. It all started because Berens offered them beef jerky. They grilled. They watched football on a flat-screen. They played poker. And, kind of/sort of watched some of the group members’ kiddos.
Fast-forward to now, Berens and the other fellas from that video — Taylor Calmus (Dude Dad), Myles Montplaisir (the You Betcha guy) and Penn Holderness (The Holderness Family and an “Amazing Race” winner) — have reunited for an actual Target commercial .
The ad promotes Target Circle Week , which runs Oct. 6-12. During it, members of Target Circle — the retailer’s free loyalty program — can score “deep discounts on thousands of items,” according to the company.
