Yes, you’ll need to register if you aren’t already. Check your registration status here .

How do I do that?

You can register to vote online or download and fill out a paper form that you can mail or hand deliver to your municipal clerk. You’ll need a proof of residence to do either.

What’s the deadline?

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 16 online and by mail and Nov. 1 in-person at your municipal clerk’s office. You can also register to vote at your polling place on Election Day.

Can I vote by mail?

Any Wisconsin voter can request an absentee ballot without a reason. You can request an absentee ballot online , or request one from your municipal clerk by mail or email. Starting Oct. 22, you can also request one in person. (If you request a ballot in-person you must either vote it in the clerk’s office or receive it in the mail.)
