Clouds have been thickening up throughout the day as a vertically stacked low pressure system slowly moves north and northeast over the Central Plains. We’ve seen some showers in parts of Western Wisconsin this afternoon with temperatures maxing out in the 50s. The low will continue its track towards the state tonight as skies remain cloudy with scattered showers possible at times. In between, we may see some periods of drizzle with areas of fog also developing, which could be dense in spots through the early morning hours. Overnight lows will stay mild in the mid to upper 40s. Our best chance of showers will come tomorrow morning as low pressure makes its final push across Wisconsin to the east. While things are expected to largely dry out for the afternoon, some lingering drizzle or isolated showers can’t be ruled out. Clouds may even start to break apart during the latter half of the day as temperatures top out in the low to mid-50s. Total rainfall amounts will range from just a few hundredths up to a quarter of an inch.
