WHAT WE’RE TRACKI NG :
- Mild Weekend Ahead
- Chance of Showers Saturday Night
- Active Next Week
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOU R S: Today will feature variably cloudy skies, although it will stay mild, with high temperatures in the lower to middle 50s. A cold front tonight may spark a few showers. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. The best chance for rain will be near or just after midnight.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Sunday and Monday will both be mild, with above normal temperatures in the middle to upper 50s. A strong storm system still looks likely, reaching southern Wisconsin late Monday night, with a cold front swinging through during the day on Tuesday. This system will feature widespread showers, an isolated thunderstorm or two, and windy conditions, especially late Monday, Monday night, and early Tuesday. The weather system is still expected to meander about the Great Lakes Region through the end of next week, although latest indications keep the bulk of the weather system a little further to the east, which decreases our precipitation chances after Tuesday. We still may see our first few flakes of snow later next week, yet the chance of it sticking is currently low.
