NEX T 24 H O U R S : The chance for freezing rain persists into our overnight period as small pockets of moisture will be moving through. We will be warming slightly through the night, which could help lessen the risk of ice on roadways. Lean on the side of caution if you have any travel plans early Thursday morning. Central Wisconsin has the highest chance (40-60%) of seeing a light glaze of ice on roadways. Western Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota have a smaller, although still possible, chance of patches of ice (20-40%). Patchy fog and reduced visibility will also be a concern overnight and into Thursday morning. Warming temperatures will make good work on melting our snow pack. This often results in foggy/misty conditions. Because of this, foggy conditions could strengthen later Thursday evening as well. Mostly cloudy skies will hold strong through the day Thursday. By the late evening, scattered showers start to move through the area. Although, the main round of rain will hold off until Friday afternoon.
