NYPD: 2 sought for questioning on Staten Island in connection with $4K grand larceny over scholarship claim

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s help identifying two people sought for questioning in connection with a reported grand larceny incident in Concord.

Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, an unidentified man and a woman approached a 54-year-old woman near the intersection of Richmond Road and Steuben Street, according to a written statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

The pair claimed to know the 54-year-old’s daughter and said the daughter had won a scholarship but that processing fees needed to be paid first, police said…
