Crash shuts down Staten Island’s Hylan Blvd. during a.m. rush; 1 hospitalized

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A crash forced the closure of Hylan Boulevard in Dongan Hills for more than an hour during rush hour Friday morning.

The collision was reported at 6:51 a.m. on Hylan, between Cromwell and Garretson avenues, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

The crash blocked traffic on the Rosebank-bound side of Hylan Boulevard. At approximately 8:20 a.m., one lane was reopened to allow cars through.
