Authorities charged a Delaney Hall protester with assaulting a federal agent this past Friday, court documents show.
Mariano A. Perez is accused of punching a Homeland Security Investigations special agent in the face with a closed fist at about 6:30 p.m. on the south side of the immigration jail in Newark, the complaint filed against him Monday in federal court alleges.
Officers arrested Perez at the scene. He did not have a lawyer listed in court records…
