This Staten Island teen’s FIFA World Cup artwork just won a major NYC competition

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For Annabella Colucci, a passion for graphic design has turned into a major accomplishment, with the Staten Island teen’s artwork earning recognition in a citywide competition.

Colucci, a 16-year-old junior at Ralph R. McKee High School in St. George, was one of the four winners selected in the New York City Department of Education’s 25th Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition, held June 2 at City Tech in Brooklyn.

Her illustrated poster was chosen through the “Ode to NYC” poster initiative, a collaboration between NYCxDesign and the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
