Class of 2026: The Eagle Academy for Young Men of Staten Island graduates 25 students (130 photos)

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Twenty-five students received diplomas during the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Staten Island graduation ceremony on Monday.

Principal Jermaine Cameron congratulated the students as they crossed the stage, with family and friends applauding for each graduate. During his farewell address, Cameron recited lyrics from the Green Day song, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

Cameron read the words, “So the song continues, ‘so take the photographs and still frames in your mind.’ In other words, grab a moment from today. That will forever be etched in your mind. And hang it on the shelf in good health and good times. Remember the memory, remember the friendship, remember the laughter, remember people. Because if something was unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. My hope is that you have a time of your lives. So, as we close and say goodbye, Class of 2026, Remember this: That you are anything but ordinary.”…
