Staten Island should begin preparing for a potentially dangerous heat event forecast to develop by midweek, according to the National Weather Service.
On Sunday, conditions are expected to remain relatively quiet across Staten Island, with lingering areas of low clouds and fog from the morning hours gradually dissipating by afternoon.
