Scott LoBaido suffers cardiac arrest at Staten Island event after attempting to question Mayor Mamdani

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A medical emergency involving Staten Island artist and activist Scott LoBaido interrupted the NYPD’s National Night Out Against Crime event Tuesday evening at Midland Beach, where emergency responders performed life-saving measures before he was transported to the hospital.

The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. at the event near 488 Father Capodanno Blvd., between Wentworth Avenue and Quintard Street, according to emergency dispatches.
