STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A developer based on Staten Island’s East Shore owns most of a nearby neighborhood, with unclear plans for its future.
United Land Group, headquartered at 867 Father Capodanno Blvd., has invested $12 million for about three dozen lots in a section of Midland Beach from Graham to Slater Boulevards between Quincy Avenue and Father Capodanno Boulevard.
The company’s website advertises most of those lots as sites for “redevelopment into community facilities,” but multiple requests for comment to the company and its principals have gone unanswered, leaving an unclear image of the area’s future.
Charter school buildings developed on site
Three parcels so far have been transformed into school buildings. The most prominent, 829 Father Capodanno Blvd., houses Hebrew Public Charter School.
