Out-of-control Ferrari crashes into trees, killing Staten Island man

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 29-year-old man died after his out-of-control Ferrari crashed into multiple trees on Staten Island Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.

At approximately 9:47 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Drumgoole Road West and Watkins Avenue in Arden Heights.

Upon arrival, officers observed Edan Darmoni unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma about the head and body.

EMS transported Darmoni to Staten Island University North, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Further investigation determined that Darmoni was driving a Ferrari convertible traveling southbound on Drumgoole Road West when he failed to navigate the roadway and struck several trees.

The investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
