STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Twelve units and 60 firefighters responded to a fire at a home in Pleasant Plains Sunday afternoon. The “all hands” blaze was reported around 5:20 p.m. in the rear of a two-story private residence located 6475 Amboy Rd. between Bedell and Georgia street, an FDNY spokesperson said.
