New York City issues Code Blue as temperatures set to tumble

With temperatures set to plummet into the low 30s overnight, New York City has issued its first Code Blue of the fall season. The weather emergency notice, which was issued by the city’s Department of Homeless Services, will go into effect starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and remain in place until 8 a.m. Wednesday, New York City Emergency Management said.
