As vote looms and Staten Island councilmembers oppose plan, NYC Mayor Adams says of City of Yes: ‘We want to get this done’

CITY HALL – Mayor Eric Adams showed no signs of compromise Tuesday on a controversial city housing plan headed for a vote in the City Council. “City of Yes for Housing Opportunity” has drawn pushback from different corners of the city, particularly on Staten Island, and Councilman Joseph Borelli (R-South Shore) said he didn’t expect much change to the plan.
