A car accident quickly turned into a fully engulfed fire after a car struck a tree in Southeast, New York.
According to the Brewster Fire Department’s Facebook page, firefighters were called to battle a car fire that started after a car left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire early Sunday morning.
Car Burst Into Flames
First responders from Brewster, NY were dispatched to the intersection of Route 22 and Milltown Road in Southeast, NY for a single vehicle car accident with injuries around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Upon arrival, firefighters and EMS were met with a fully engulfed car fire, which apparently started after the vehicle (below) left the roadway, struck a tree and burst into flames outside the Brewster Elks Club on Route 22.
The unidentified driver of the vehicle safely got out of the car before it became fully engulfed in flames. The driver was treated at the scene by Brewster EMS and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
