ShopRite to open fourth Staten Island supermarket in this popular shopping center

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – ShopRite will introduce a fourth supermarket to Staten Island shoppers this fall, filling a 62,000-square-foot anchor lease vacancy at a popular shopping center in the heart of Great Kills.

“The local community has long benefitted from the convenience of having a supermarket anchor at Evergreen Plaza,” noted Joseph Lowry, senior vice president of acquisitions/business development for Levin Management Corporation (LMC), which negotiated the deal at 150 Greaves Lane. “It is welcome news for area residents that ShopRite has chosen to locate here.”

LMC announced the news in a press release, noting that retailer-owned supermarket cooperative Wakefern Food Corp. has already begun construction at the site. The new ShopRite supermarket will be operated by Mannix Family Markets, which also operates the borough’s other ShopRite stores in Graniteville, New Dorp and Charleston.

“We have worked with Wakefern and a number of its members for decades, and we are pleased to see their continued expansion of state-of-the-art supermarkets into prime locations in key markets,” Lowry continued…
