Albany, NY (WRGB) — Former Governor Andrew Cuomo and his top aide, Melissa DeRosa, were involved in an emotional romantic relationship during his tenure, according to testimony first obtained by The New York Post.
DeRosa was married at the time, and stood by Cuomo during significant moments of his governorship, including his pandemic briefings.
The Post reports that Cuomo did not disclose this relationship to the Attorney General’s office during investigations into sexual assault allegations from other staffers. The Post obtained the unredacted transcript of testimony from Josh Vlasto, a former Cuomo aide.
