GASTONIA, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A man wanted in connection with a New York homicide was arrested in Gastonia on Friday, thanks to a coordinated effort between local law enforcement and federal agents.
According to Gastonia Police, Phillip Lydell, 27, from Staten Island, was taken into custody near the 800 block of Barkley and Radio Streets. Lydell is suspected of a homicide that occurred back on March 28, 2025, in Staten Island, New York.
