STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Borough residents will join thousands of New Yorkers on Sunday, May 18, for the 2025 Northwell Walk to Raise Health on Staten Island, which will raise funds for cancer care and honor an Annadale girl whose battle with leukemia has been inspiring.
Funds from the Staten Island 5K walk, which has taken place annually for nearly 10 years, will benefit the Florina Cancer Center, Ocean Breeze, one of the largest oncology programs in the New York metropolitan area. It will also benefit its dedicated pediatric unit, the Brian Halpin Pediatric Center, where children like Charlee Citera, 8, receive life-saving care in a comforting, kid-friendly environment.
