Man Killed, Woman Injured in Bronx Shooting

A 30-year-old man was killed and a 42-year-old woman injured in a shooting Saturday evening in the Bronx’s Mott Haven neighborhood, police said. The incident occurred near 224 Willis Avenue at approximately 8:33 PM, becoming the latest violent episode in a borough continuing to address gun violence concerns.

Officers responding to a 911 call for a crime in progress discovered both victims with gunshot wounds – the man struck in the chest and the woman hit in the leg, according to ABC7 New York .

Shooting Details Emerge as Investigation Continues

Both victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for emergency medical treatment. The male victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the female victim remains in stable condition.
