STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A movie set on Staten Island and inspired by local restaurant Enoteca Maria is currently rising the charts on Netflix.
The movie, “Nonnas,” chronicles a man who, after losing his beloved mother, risks everything to honor her by opening an Italian restaurant — staffed by real nonnas, or grandmothers, as the chefs.
