STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Neighbors Market, a pop-up hosted by Forgotten Foods, returns to Staten Island the first weekend of June with fresh produce, cooking demos, and more at the event in Stapleton.
But beyond being a hub for community gathering and connection, the event illuminates broader conversation around food sovereignty on Staten Island’s North Shore — a community especially impacted by food insecurity and limited access to fresh produce.
