Police on the hunt for $500K painting reportedly stolen from Staten Island home

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance related to the alleged theft of a painting from a Tottenville home.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 15, at approximately 9 a.m., an unidentified individual used an unknown object to forcibly enter through the window of a residence located within the vicinity of Tottenville Place and Wards Point Avenue.

Once inside, the unidentified individual removed a painting valued at approximately $500,000, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information…
