STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Father Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy hosted its annual Ice Cream Memorial Day event for veterans — and those currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The event was initiated several years ago by the late Diane Hesterhagen, the longtime principal of St. Adalbert’s School before it merged with Holy Rosary in 2020 and became the Father Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy.
