It’s one thing that Staten Islanders can maybe thank Robert Moses for.
As detailed in the book “The Power Broker: Robert Moses and the Fall of New York,” which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, the “master builder” was fiercely criticized for destroying city neighborhoods in order to build highways and expressways across the five boroughs.
But one of those Moses roads that actually never got fully built out provides a view of the Staten Island Expressway (another Moses project) that few borough residents have likely ever seen…
